Defining Nature

by Shubsub 1/3/2009 11:23:00 AM

With the onset of the New Year, there is more reason to rejoice in our family --- we now have a new member in the family tree! Smile Wow! This little girl will be celebrating her birthday year after year on January 1 - a privilege that many kids her age may perhaps envy when she walks into the classroom on the first day of the year wearing a colourful dress and celebrating her birthday. But this is not nature's gift to her -- it's her parents' gift! Yes, it was a concious decision taken by her parents!

Well, although some people may look at advancements in medical science as a boon, I don't! Today medical science has reached a stage wherein very few (known) things are beyond it's control - including child birth - the arrival of a new life, which is or rather should I say 'was' once nature's beauty. Today it has very little to do with 'nature' per se. Surprised We humans are indeed control freaks!  Undecided

Not that I'm against developments, research or inventions, but reflecting on the situation leads me to a whirlpool of questions for which I find no answers! Man's curiosity has led him way beyond certain defined laws of nature.

Today there is very little left to probabilities, thus making the very existance of nature a debatable topic! Undecided
