Beatrice shed a stone-and-a-half by eating sensibly, controlling portion sizes and vigorous marathon training with friends.
“What’s exciting about doing this together is that your morale can stay up,” said the 21-year-old.“By myself I’d get to mile 15 and think, ‘Oh, for crying out loud, what am I doing?’”
“Things are different, especially my dress size. But I’m not a size zero.”
But it’s not all hard work. Bea believes in allowing herself the occasional treat, and was recently snapped enjoying an ice cream, but while her boyfriend Dave Clark, 27, feasted on a gigantic cone, Beatrice opted for a smaller portion.

Why it works
Exercising with friends is great motivation, as you won’t want to let them down. Running regularly will have you toned and fit in no time.
Allowing yourself the occasional treat prevents cravings. But if chocolate is your weakness, stick to a couple of squares three times a week.
The nutritionist’s verdict: “Running is a great way to get in shape,” says Linda. “To intensify the workout, try interval training, where you run for five minutes then walk for five.”

Heartbreak diet: Hayley Tamaddon
Looking svelte and happy on holiday in Spain this month, the Dancing On Ice champion showed her lovecheat ex-fiance what he was missing, having shed around a stone.
When it comes to exercise Hayley prefers “things that are fun – so you almost forget you’re doing them”. Competing in Dancing On Ice certainly got her in shape in no time. “I lost about two stone and dropped three dress sizes,” she said.
When it comes to diet, Hayley’s simply made some healthy food swaps. “I used to have toast with butter and jam for breakfast, but now I have a bowl of blueberries and cherries.”
“I have a cupboard at home that used to have loads of chocolate in, but now has healthier options.”
