rohan: hope u r also having a good day. i m presently in final yr of b.tech. My prob is a bit unique. i dnt want to join d IT sector, when all d companies that come to my clg are IT companies only. So what should i do?

MaltiBhojwani: Hi rohan, thank you for your question. What DO you want? If you could choose your career path, what would you choose? It is possible that right now IT seems to be the only opportunity coming up, but when you decide what you really want to do and in what area, more opportunities will come up.

Loran: what are the kind of goals that life coaching can help achieve? is it only for professional work?

MaltiBhojwani: When you start working with a life coach - the first session would be to help you pick 3 areas you want results in. Often one will be in the area of work, one in your personal life/relationship and often people want to work on their health/fitness as well. The goals you choose to work on immediately are entirely up to you and a good coach can help you start the process and work out strategies and correct your mind-set so that you achieve them fast!

karthik: hi malti am karthik.i am not able to tolerate people's comments and insults.it haunts me and i keep thinking about them.my tolerance level has become very low .how to handle this

MaltiBhojwani: Why does it upset you or hurt you? The only person's opiniont that is of any importance is your own. When you are confident about who you are and you express yourself with kindness and integrity, you won't feel haunted.

Loran: when is the best time to go in for life coaching? if you are stuck in a rut or if everything is going great guns?

MaltiBhojwani: Hi Loran, coaching can help nudge you out of a rut, but at the same time, a good coach will assess in the first session if coaching is suitable or if counselling or therapy or just time is better at that point. Coaching can only work when the client is excited and ready to make changes in their life, the coach is there to support, encourage, challenge and hold them accoutnable to doing what they WANT to do. The client does ALL the work, so yes the client has to be ready. Loran, Everyone's dreams are different, but whether you want to shed a few more kilos, land a better job, pay off a mounting credit card debt or even find love, you'd be amazed how far you can get with a practical plan and some help. A Life coach who is also trained in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) can help you to re-phrase your goals and your desires in the positive. This tool itself can change your life.

karthik: yes it hurts me when people pass hurting comments.I am very sensitive person.I also had some career and academic breaks so now fear of failure has also gripped me.am an mba with some sales experience. I could not find job till now. and dont know which line to choose post my mba marketing

MaltiBhojwani: Hi Karthik, FEAR is just False Evidence Appearing Real.....you have come so far, you just have to get back up and decide what you REALLY want to do after your MBA and pursue it!

Loran: are there any points one needs to keep in mind before selecting a life coach? also, is it possible for one on one meetings instead of doing it over the phone?

MaltiBhojwani: When looking for a life coach, check that they are professionally trained and experienced. IF they are also trained in NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming, that is an added tool which is great to help achieve results. I am sure there are coaches that work face to face, but in my experience phone coaching is more effective, less intrusive, more private and the results are great! It would be good if you could read the coaches testimonials from past clients, to see what type of experience other clients have had.

drish: im finding myself always feeling mentally tired, and hence i'm unable to motivate myself to study. how do i fix this?

MaltiBhojwani: If you know that you have a short span of time left and you feel you really do have to study, perhaps what you could do is manage your day and fit in "rest" time and truly unwind and relax, guiltlessly so that you can go back to your studying fully rested.

karthik: hi malti how to use affirmations.how many times should we repeat and how to phrase them

MaltiBhojwani: Affirmations are postively and carefully phrased statements that you can use to help you get closer to your goal. You write them short and clearly and state them as if your goal has already been achieved and you are grateful. Using positive language is very important. A coach trained in NLP can help you create and phrase powerful affirmations. Use them instead of complaining and worrying when things don't seem to be going your way.

Loran: what kind of training does one have to under go to become a life coach? is this training avaible in india or does one have to go abroad for it?

MaltiBhojwani: There are quite a few training academies out there. I did my training about 10 years ago with The International Coach Academy. This took about 18months and I did it by distance learning - ont he phone and internet. However, I have gone to train and teach here in India (Bangalore) at a coach training institute. Life coaching is independent. You learn to listen from a powerful space and help the client always create more options and choices for themselves.

karthik: pls tell some good self help books to read and the book u have written

MaltiBhojwani: I have co-written a book called "The Success Journal" The E-book is available from my website. 20 Mentors including Bob Proctor (The Secret) and Brian Tracey have contributed to this book as well. I am also writing another one with a dear friend of mine on The Law of Attraction. My favourite book has been Lynn Grabhorn's "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting". She is no more though!

karthik: ru in chennai can i get ur contact details

MaltiBhojwani: i am in Mumbai now, and work mainly by phone in India and Internationally. My contact details: Email me to book a free trial session: malti@bigpond.net.au. My website is www.multi-coaching.com
