Body
Fitness-
“Since my childhood fitness has played an important role in my life as I have been actively involved in sports and dance. Fortunately, my body is very flexible and receptive to various physical activities.

Every single day, I practice yoga to strengthen my body along with practising various dance forms. Being a dancer my workouts are structured slightly differently. This is because I dance 4 to 8 hours a day and the cardio and resistance training I do is basically to enhance my fitness levels further and not to become thin.

Diet- I eat three staple good meals a day and  avoid fatty foods and sweets. My weight has been constant since the past 15 years and hence diet for me is about giving your body the right nutrition it deserves.

My breakfast consists of a bowl of cereal and milk while lunch is light consisting mostly of salads and soup.  For dinner I have dal and a small bowl of rice, along with one sabzi and salad.

Mind
To unwind I practise yoga, read, travel or watch films especially English musicals. After a hard days work, the best way to distress is with a hot water bath. Since water is a natural healer it has favourable effects on the skin and muscles. Also just soaking my feet in hot water provides a great amount of relief and enhances the blood circulation as well.

Spirit
Spirituality is being in touch with your inner self and the higher powers. I practice spirituality through my dance forms. This is because; I feel that when you are wholeheartedly passionate about what you do, you automatically get into the spiritual realm.

I also pray regularly – for my family, before I go on stage or every time I face the camera. I also believe that music and dance is akin to praying. My motto is to live life to the fullest as we have been blessed with this life and hence should take advantage of the limited time we spend on earth.”
