Body
Fitness - "Maintaining ones physical health is important. Usually my day begins with an hour long morning walk on the treadmill followed by stretches. Sometimes I accompany my husband for a game of golf. On the weekends I play badminton with my daughter and go for a swim twice a week. Another physical activity I absolutely love is cycling. If given a choice I would cycle my way to work but due to the traffic and lifestyle constraints in the city, it isn’t feasible.

I ensure that I sleep for at least 7 hours, which means I try getting into bed by at least 11pm as I am an early riser. Thrice a week I have a yoga instructor who comes home for a session of pranayam followed by breathing exercises, as I strongly believe that breathing right has a lot to do with stress control.

Diet - I try to eat healthy food as much as possible. My day begins with eating almonds which are soaked the night before followed by upma which is cooked in olive oil. My breakfast also includes a high protein drink, oats and sometimes dosas

On Sundays I treat myself to the sprawling greens of my favourite golf club which includes a long  lazy swim followed by a must have water melon juice and muesli and an hour long session of cardio exercises in the gym. Fruits, soups and salads have always been a top priority in my diet.

The only evil I indulge in is different kinds of breads which are sinfully buttered.

My daughter Niharika is my source of inspiration when it comes to eating right as she always tells me – “listen to your body and stop when it says I am full.” I make it a point to listen to her food mantra and hope to get it perfect one day!

Mind
I maintain my mental health by chanting the Gayatri mantra. Besides that, for stress control, I perform a few breathing exercises because I believe that breathing right helps in controlling the stress levels.

A good family life is essential for one’s wellbeing. This is because your entire world revolves around your family life. Hence, I make a conscious effort to spend quality time with my family; which makes our bond stronger. On week days a game of scrabble before bed time and on week -ends it is either golf, swimming or just a long lazy brunch by the poolside that binds us together.

I am blessed to have my hobby and passion as a career. Hence more than business it’s also a source of enjoyment. I also love listening to music, trekking and travelling to places rich in art, history and culture for relaxation. Thankfully I am relaxed most of the time and blessed with a lot of patience and good humour that keeps me mentally fit.

Spirit
Spiritual health is vital. Meditation helps me channelize the positive potential energy into kinetic energy. I ensure that I go to bed without any feeling of guilt or regrets. Materialism and spiritualism co-exist and I have been able to strike a balance between the two. I do not believe in a guru and do not look for God in temples, books and scriptures; as I find Him in each one of us.

My philosophy of life is very simple - what you give is what you get. To look for the good in people with whom I interact with is important for me. Yes, God lives in all of us and by respecting each person, we respect God."
