Model and actor Rosa Catalano exclaims, “For me physical exercise is crucial and I love it!” Physically she exercises every day. She stopped going to the gym and she has created her own workout at home, which lasts for 1-1.30 hour every day. Her work out includes asanas to strengthening her body and martial art that she learned in China.

Mentally and spiritually she dedicates the first hour in the morning for prayer and meditation. She shares, “Yoga is part of my life and part of who I am today. I try to keep my mind and spirit through the day in ‘Yoga’ mode. I try to keep the peace within me and calm mind.”

However, she confesses that sometimes it is not easy to deal with situations without losing your calm but believes that is the challenge and the fun. Otherwise she laughs that she would be living somewhere up in the Himalayas.

She loves her life and enjoys being busy. So according to her schedule, she plans her day and accommodates time for exercise. She is very flexible and finds it easy to adjust to situations but is also very organized and disciplined. Rosa admits, “I enjoy every bit. That’s where my zodiac sign comes into play... I am a perfect Capricorn!”

When she says that yoga is part of her life she is not talking about physical exercise only. For her health or to be healthy has nothing to do with the size of your body or the many hours that you work out in a gym. She defines health as being in a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.

She believes that everything needs balance in life and mental exercise is equally important as physical. Through yoga she has learned to life her life with peace. She shares, “The experiences I was fortunate to have in my life have made me stronger and lighter at the same time. I don’t take drugs. I don’t party till late. I don’t socialize much at all. Because I feel I am happier reading a book or sitting on the terrace and star gazing then looking at people when they fake a smile and hiding behind there glasses. I love my friends, especially their simplicity in being who they are. There is no need to pretend among us.”

Rosa believes in God. She does not remember Him only when she needs Him. She respects her faith and her life. She says, “My body is my temple.... I live by that axiom. I’m happy because I am not running after fame, money or success. I’m happy because I have everything I need. I know I will always have these. And the most important thing I have is – Love.”

Rosa resonates, “I love my life. When someone does something to me intentionally or not, it does not affect me more then a raindrop on the floor. People are going to pay for what they do. I don't need revenge. I have seen justice. All is well.”

Nature relaxes her. So she tries to be around it as much as possible. She loves to read and has started getting audio books online; so she can do two of her favourite things at the same time – walking on the beach and listening to a new book.

She likes to spend time with herself. That is a basic understanding to a free and successful life. She loves food and loves to eat. She loves all kinds of flavours and that is why she does not follow any diet.

Then she lets out a mischievous laugh saying, “Right now, I'm eating chocolate. I cannot do without it. I need to balance my food... or maybe do some more ‘prison squats’.
