Exercise

After trying all the new age gyms and exercise routine I am back to my old fashioned mantra of staying fit; yoga, dance and walks. I am very particular about my regime and I enjoy it. I travel a lot but I still exercise three times a week for an hour.

I am very active and climb up and down the stairs of my Villa in Kuwait; I park my car at the farthest when I am out so I can walk a lot. Coming back to shape after motherhood (after two kids) was not easy. What really helped me was a happy positive state of mind right diet and Yoga; it helped me to reduce inches.

Diet

I eat six to eight small meals in a day; I eat every two hours as I have hypothyroid so my metabolic rate is slow. I eat every two hours to spruce up my metabolic rate.

I am a vegetarian and I try and avoid processed food, refined sugar refined white flour and white rice. I prefer to eat lot of organic fruits and vegetables and natural ayurvedic diet. I avoid Chinese food and prefer Indian, Lebanese and Japanese food.

Mind

Psychological well being is very important part of being fit and happy – I am constantly improving my state mind by reading, taking vacations, meditation, cooking, shopping, designing and spending quality time with my family. I don’t watch TV but I prefer to watch a movie every night it really relaxes me. I love to go for coffee breaks with my friends or hubby. I love to go to spas for body massages. I like to cook for friends and family, I enjoy hosting small dinner parties for friends and family. I love adventure and sports and often go rock-climbing, horse riding, dancing and hiking. All this helps me to relax.

Spirituality

I love to pray and read about different religions and chant shlokas. Spirituality means everything to me, it is who I am. It defines me and outlines my purpose and path in this life as a human being. I pray everyday and thank God for everything I am blessed with. The books that have inspired me are ‘Guru Granth Sahib’, ‘Bhagvad Geeta’, ‘Brain Weiss many Lives Many Masters’ and ‘48 laws of power’ by Robert Greene and Joost Elffers.

My Motto

Happiness is a state of mind and it is the most valuable thing on this planet, it cannot be bought or stolen it can only be achieved by creating balance in ones life.”
