Body

I guess I am gifted when it comes to staying in shape. I have never been overweight and so weight loss has never been a concern for me. It is only very recently that I have got myself a personal trainer with whom I do weight training three times a week. Before that I relied on running and meditating to feel good. Besides, more than following any crash diets or some new exercise regimen I believe that one should pick up activities that help them feel content and positive. Having fun and looking at the brighter side of life is important if you want to taste success.

Diet

Since I have a high metabolism rate I do not have a fixed diet. I have a large breakfast before I leave for work that usually consists of an omelette made with two egg whites, brown bread, cereal and fruit juice. My lunch consists of daal, two/three chappatis, sabji, chicken, little rice, curd or buttermilk. I simply love yogurt and ensure that I have it at least once a day. In the evening if hungry I have an apple or cut fruits and dinner is also more or less the same as lunch. During summers I also have a lot of nimbu pani, chaas and nariyal pani to stay hydrated. I love sweets and do indulge once a while on an Indian sweet.

Exercise

I have never been to a gym till date. But since I have a terrific metabolic rate, losing weight and staying in shape is a lot easier for me. It is only very recently that I appointed a personal trainer for myself who helps me weight train. Along with this I go for long jogs in the morning. This really helps me distress and sort myself to a great extent. In fact, now if I have to miss my jogging for a day I feel disoriented because my body has become so used to this forty-minute jog schedule.

Mind

To keep my mind healthy I meditate a few times in a day. Also concentrating on my breath helps me elevate my mood. In between shots whenever I get the time I close my eyes and just take a few long breaths. This quietens my mind and makes me a lot more focused. Also spending time with family and friends is another sure shot way to elevate my mood.

Spirituality

For me helping others is my way of praying to the Almighty. Whenever I see that someone needs something I try and help out in whatever small way I can. After all it is the intention behind the act that counts.
