You may feel healthy, but keep in mind that high blood pressure has no symptoms. Hence, it is very important to monitor your blood pressure regularly. A blood pressure reading of 140/90 mm Hg or higher is a warning sign, you shouldn't ignore.
High blood pressure may lead to serious health consequences. Therefore, you need to seek treatment.
Blood pressure can range from:
- Normal (120/80 mm Hg or below)
- Pre-hypertension (between 120/80 to 139/89 mm Hg)
- High (140/90 mm Hg or higher)
Visit your doctor and ask what your BP numbers are. If diagnosed with high BP, get your blood pressure checked more frequently. Talk to your doctor about a checkup schedule.
